A narrative is created within a story. Who writes that story?

Journalism is communication of news. News stories are relevant to current time and location. People across seas share the same understanding of news. It is essential to society.
Journalism allows information to be shared.
The public gains a shared knowledge of what is going on in the community. The awareness is spread by the work of journalists.
Journalists also are held accountable for their work through publication. They are responsible for a credible source. They are said to "exercise their conscience."

The moral of honesty is an important element of journalism.

A culture of diversity is essential for journalism to thrive. It allows content to differ while still reaching a large audience.
